Beach Volleyball
Firstly, congratulations on nominating your team with The Indoor Sports Arenas. The staff and management wish you luck for the season and hope that all your games be played in a positive, sportsmanlike manner. As the captain, you are the link between the players and the arena. The following notes will give you an understanding of our policies and will assist in a trouble-free season.
Nominating Your Team
To get into a team all you have to do is forward your details to the junior Coordinator or staff at games control. If you already have a team, complete a nomination form and email fax or and hand to the games control and they will assist you with the weekly procedure and times. Teams must nominate new players throughout the season, before each game.
Late Nominations
Teams which enter the competition after the eighth round will not be eligible for the finals. Teams beginning late in the season receive draw points only for the rounds they have missed.
Game Fees & Punctuality
It is important that your team be present at least ten minutes prior to your game. This allows enough time to collect your team card, tick off who plays and pays each week, confirm your next weeks game time and be on the court ready to play. This also enables other games to be running on time. A central timing system is alos in use which will also make sure that all games run on time, umpires have no control over the central timing once it has been set for the night. Game Fees should be paid prior to the game starting. The full fee is payable regardless of the number of players playing. If teams are in need of permanent players, please see the staff as we have a lists of players wishing to join teams. If fees reamian outstanding, no game points will be credited. Outstanding fees are to be paid by next game to receive these points back. If fees still owe at finals time, teams will NOT be eligible for the finals.
Reschedules, Forfeits and Fees
Any team forfeiting (unless 48 hours is given) will be required to pay their forfeit fee in full before taking the court for their next fixture. Offending teams will lose 3 points plus 6 goals off their for and against total. The opposing team will be given 3 points and a 6 goals to nil win. Any team forfeiting without giving 48hrs notice will be required to pay a forfeit fee.
We endeavour to give teams the times of their choice, therefore forfeits are not treated lightly. Reschedules can occur if both teams agree on a date and time. The team that originally requests a reschedule should be prepaired to accept whatever reasonable time and date the opposition proposes.
Team Cards
All players must complete the game card on the night they play. All contact details must be up to date for sms messaging of game times and information. Staff authorize these on a nightly basis. These cards cannot be altered after the round. Please ensure all cards are completed correctly to avoid player qualification problmes come finals time.
Ladder and Results
Will be displayed each week near games control and also on the website. With sportsoft you can check everything from the ladder, game scorecard to your own individual stats.
